Coaches: Dallas Friday
Dallas Friday is recognized by ESPN as the “winningest female wakeboarder in history.” Her impressive achievements include the ESPN ESPY award for Best Female Action Sports Athlete, four X-Games gold medals, and multiple world titles. She began wakeboarding at 13 and quickly made her mark by winning the Americas Cup and earning silver at the 2000 X-Games as the youngest competitor.
By age 15, Dallas had already won the World Cup. She continued to dominate the sport, securing gold medals at the X-Games and NBC Gravity Games, and winning multiple events in 2001. Between 2003 and 2004, she won nearly every pro event she entered and achieved a three-peat at the X-Games in 2005.
Dallas earned the “Born to Lead Award” from Cosmo Magazine in 2005 and went on to win numerous championships in 2006. She remained undefeated in the Wakeboarding World Cup in 2007 and claimed the “Queen of Wake” title in 2009. After overcoming injuries in 2010, she made a strong comeback, winning the 2013 World Championships and several events in the following years.
Dallas was featured in the ESPN Body Issue and credits her success to her faith in Jesus Christ, with her greatest accomplishment being her children.
